chef #33: apricot spread

this spread is sweet and goes nicely water crackers. i recommend doubling it if you're making it for a party.


APRICOT SPREAD
1 pkg reduced-fat cream cheese (8 oz) @ room temperature
5 T apricot preserves
3 T thinly sliced chives
1 t onion powder

in a small bowl, beat all ingredients together until smooth. refrigerate at least half an hour until chilled.
