chef #30: marshmallow rolls

every now and then you have a recipe that doesn't work. maybe it tastes completely awful or maybe it looks terrible. i recently experienced the latter. i tried a recipe from pinterest that was supposed to look like this:

but came out looking like this:

OOPS! i'm not quite sure where i went wrong (i think it was not pinching the dough together tightly enough), but these looked bad. luckily, they still tasted amazing. perhaps you'll have better aesthetic luck than i.

MARSHMALLOW ROLLS (makes 8)
1 tube crescent rolls
8 large marshmallows
melted butter
cinnamon sugar

preheat oven to 350 degrees. line baking sheet with parchment paper. dip marshmallow in butter, roll in cinnamon sugar, then wrap in crescent roll dough. pinch dough together tightly to form a ball. place on baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes. the process looks like this:

*these are so sweet that they're really a dessert... or a late night snack with hot chocolate. :)
