RECIPE: Bethlehem Angels Baked Spaghetti

This baked spaghetti is one of my favorite meals of all time! The recipe comes from Bethlehem Angels Preschool in Advance, NC, where my mom used to be a teacher. Every year, the preschool has a spaghetti dinner fundraiser in the spring. It’s a bit different from traditional baked spaghetti, but that's what makes it so good!

1.5 lb ground beef
1 lb spaghetti noodles
15-25 oz tomato sauce
3/4 lb cream cheese, softened
1.5 c sour cream
1.5 T garlic salt (divided)
1.5 T sugar
Brown beef and drain. Add tomato sauce and 3/4 T garlic salt and pepper to taste. Break noodles in half, boil, and drain. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and remaining garlic salt with an electric mixer until smooth. Layer noodles on bottom of baking dish, then cream cheese mixture, then spaghetti sauce on top. Bake at 350 degrees for half an hour, until sauce on top cracks.
